It is a common thing that when a boy and a girl stays together or spends more time with each other (even though they are good friends).......for others to cook up many stories.........Just Don't Bother about others if u r confident that u r in the right path...I mean if yours is a true friendship as u say

But If u Feel that the boy likes u and that he is just pretending that he likes someone( maybe that someone is u) just bcuz he fears that u may go far from him if u comes to know the truth
Then Its upto u.......If u Like him accept him the way he is(but make sure that the one whom he likes is non other than u).............If not ,,persuade him to show that girl (to make sure that u r not the one),,,,,,,If he refuses,,then just leave him telling that there should not be any secrets in true friendship(even though it is his personal matter,there is nothing wrong in showing u the one he likes as far as u betray him by telling someone whom he never wanted to know about his affair) but
