There isn't much you can do, except take it one day at a time, show her family respect & don't do anything physical with her in front of them, that may displease them. If need be, ask them for permission to hold her hand or sit near her. Always bring gifts when you visit with them, to show that you care, but not highly expensive gifts. They could take that as a sign of money & either dislike it, are offended by it, or else want it. Be careful with that. You never know. Study her heritage, customs & culture. Get to know it & understand her, and most importantly, her family. Ask her to do the same, if possible. If she refuses to, I would think twice, very cautiously. Good luck!
